A very telling indicator of ALPACA's potential for significant impact on radio astronomical disciplines is found in a collection of abstracts for science projects which would be enabled with ALPACA on the GBT. GBO Director James Jackson wanted to measure the scientific user base demand for such an instrument. He asked Professor D.J. Pisano of West Virginia University to independently collect these abstracts to help him in evaluating the ALPACA project. By February 2022, 21 abstracts had been submitted. Their titles and authors are listed here, representing the wide ranging and impactful projects which interested users proposed. The full abstracts can be found in the links below:
